Partnering with Medical Professionals for Patient Care
HarbourLight Psychology is based in Melbourne and provides services in-clinic and via telehealth across Australia. Our team of registered psychologists supports clients across a range of areas, including anxiety, low mood, stress, and neurodevelopmental presentations, for children, adolescents, and adults.

We aim to support continuity of care by working collaboratively with referring practitioners and providing psychological services that are responsive to each patient’s needs.

Our Approach

Our approach is structured and client-centred, and may include:

Matching patients with psychologists where appropriate to support engagement

Use of screening measures to inform clinical understanding and treatment planning

Feedback-informed approaches to monitor progress

Communication with referring practitioners where appropriate
Psychological assessments may also be used, where relevant, to support understanding and guide care.

Making a Referral

We accept referrals under:

Private Health Insurance

The Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative

Other third-party agencies
Under Better Access, eligible patients may receive Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual per calendar year.
Referrals can be made via phone, email, or patient hand-delivery. Secure electronic messaging is also available.

We recommend patients speak with their GP about a Mental Health Care Plan.

Appointment Fees
​

Initial Adult Appointment (50 minutes): $260 (Medicare rebate available if eligible) during business hours.
Subsequent Appointments (50 minutes): $260 (Medicare rebate available if eligible) during business hours.
Appointment availability may vary, and urgent referrals can be discussed. A waitlist is maintained for earlier availability.

Additional Information
​
Patients may choose any registered psychologist. While we consider clinician fit, the final choice of provider remains with the client.
​
Cancellation Policy
To support availability for all patients, we request notice for cancellations or rescheduling:

More than 48 hours: no fee

24–48 hours: 50% of session fee

Less than 24 hours: full session fee
Telehealth may be offered where appropriate.
