Our Experience
Professional Overview
Matthew Hapsberg is a registered psychologist committed to helping clients feel understood, supported, and equipped to manage life’s challenges. He founded the clinic to offer a calm and collaborative space where individuals can explore their experiences and work towards meaningful change.
Matthew primarily works from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework, and draws on approaches from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies, and motivational interviewing where appropriate. This allows him to tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs, goals, and circumstances.
Areas of Focus:
-
Stress and Burnout: Supporting clients to better manage workplace pressures, fatigue, and overwhelm.
-
Anxiety: Helping individuals understand patterns of worry and fear, while developing practical strategies to manage anxiety.
-
Low Mood and Depression: Working with clients to explore contributing factors and build skills to support mood and daily functioning.
-
Men’s Mental Health: Providing a supportive space for men to explore challenges and strengthen coping strategies.
-
Self-Esteem and Confidence: Assisting clients to address unhelpful self-beliefs and develop a more balanced sense of self.
-
Adjustment and Change: Supporting individuals through life transitions such as career changes or personal challenges.
-
Testing and Assessment: Offering psychological and cognitive assessments to support understanding of learning, attention, and everyday functioning, with clear feedback and practical recommendations.
