Partnering with Schools and Wellbeing Teams
HarbourLight Psychology is based in Melbourne and provides services in-clinic and via telehealth across Australia. Our team of registered psychologists supports students across a range of areas, including anxiety, low mood, stress, and neurodevelopmental presentations.

We work collaboratively with schools, families, and other professionals to support student wellbeing and engagement, and to help inform appropriate supports where needed.

Our Approach
Our approach is structured, collaborative, and responsive to the needs of each student. This may include:

Matching students with psychologists where appropriate to support engagement

Use of screening measures to inform clinical understanding and support planning

Feedback-informed approaches to monitor progress

Communication with schools and families where appropriate and with consent
Psychological assessment may also be used, where relevant, to support understanding of learning and developmental needs. Onsite assessments at schools may be available where appropriate and with school approval.

Our psychologists have experience working with children and adolescents and consider the broader school and home context when planning support.

School Referral Pathways

We work with schools to support referrals for counselling, assessment, and group programs.
​
Referrals may be made under:

Private Health Insurance

The Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative

NDIS (where applicable)
Referrals can be made via phone, email, or through parents/carers. Secure electronic messaging is also available.
​
Students and families may be encouraged to speak with their GP regarding a Mental Health Care Plan where appropriate.

We work with schools to provide structured training and workshops that aim to support staff in responding to student needs within the classroom and broader school environment.
